XXL plans to open a large new store of 3,500 square meters in Oslo in the autumn of 2018, just a stone's throw from an existing G-Max and G-Sport store owned by the retailer's main competitor in Norway, Gresvig. In addition, there will be new store openings in Jessheim and Bryne in the second part of this year. Today, XXL has 31 stores in Norway and it is reported that, in the near future, it will also open new stores in Stavanger, Kristiansund and Arendal. In total, XXL should have nearly 40 Norwegian stores in operation by the end of 2018.
