Online retailer Zalando has hired Pascal Brun, a renowned expert in the textile and apparel industry, as its new Vice President of Sustainability and Diversity and inclusion (D&I). In his role, he will report directly to Padmaja Bommareddy, SVP of Corporate Development. The strategic decision to unite the Sustainability and D&I teams under one roof marks an important step for Zalando. With this holistic approach, the company aims to more effectively achieve its goals and commitments in the areas above, which are critical to both the transformation of Zalando itself and the fashion industry as a whole.
Brun brings 16 years of industry experience to the role, having worked at H&M on various continents and in various roles. His focus was particularly on the areas of sustainability and supply chain management. In his new role, he takes responsibility for driving Zalando’s commitment to sustainability and D&I and seamlessly integrating them with the company’s strategic ambitions.
