Zanier, the Austrian glove manufacturer, has restructured and revamped its logistics. Previously, logistics were handled in-house at the company's headquarters in Innsbruck, the city Zanier moved to from Lienz in October 2017. Logistics are now being taken care of by an external service provider.

In March, Beate Winkler will assume the recently created position of product manager at Zanier. Markus W. Zanier, the family company's chief executive, and member of the second generation at the helm, has been handling product management until now.

Zanier also changed its logo in time for this year's Ispo show in Munich. Zanier recently donated 10 percent of its online sales from Dec. 21 to Jan. 6 to the Austrian Childhood Cancer Organization (Kinder-Krebs-Hilfe) for the regions of Tyrol and Voralberg. The total donation has not been disclosed. A related digital marketing campaign, #mymountainpassion, was launched in mid-December.

For 2018, the company recorded a gain of 15 percent in sales from the previous year, thanks to increases in all of its markets. The company sold 500,000 pairs of gloves for a total of €10 million. It expects a further increase in sales in 2019.

Zanier also recently cooperated with ClimatePartner, an organization that uses international standards, such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, to calculate a corporate carbon footprint (CCF) for member companies.

In addition, Zanier has diversified its product range. For autumn/winter 2019/20, the company has set up a partnership to incorporate Sympathy Inside, the sustainable membrane made by Sympatex, into its gloves. The first such glove collection was presented at this year's Ispo show in Munich.

Zanier continues to work with Gore-Tex, with which it has recently developed a new glove collection called Infinium Stretch. The gloves with the Gore-Tex membrane are part of Zanier's performance collection. Zanier also launched a new urban collection at Ispo as well as a collection of women's gloves made in cooperation with Swarovski.

Another debut at the recent Ispo show was Zanier's first collection of backpacks, which includes models for trail running and for mountaineering.
