Zoot Sports, part of Jarden Corporation, has completed the acquisition of Squadra, a designer and manufacturer of custom cycling, racing and triathlon apparel based in Carlsbad, California. Squadra was founded by Dan Weatherford in 1996, initially as the licensee for the Italian brand Castelli, whose apparel was worn by cycling legends including Eddy Merckx and Bernard Hinault. Since it was acquired by Jarden Corp. in 2009, Zoot has continued to invest in the growing endurance sports market.
