21run, the German-based online store specializing in running, has been acquired by All4Sports, the Dutch online retailer that owns various online stores, including the All4Running online store. 21sportsgroup, a major German online retailer with European ambitions, said in January that it will phase out one of its online stores, 21run, by the end of the first quarter of 2019. By the time of that announcement, the two 21run physical stores in Munich and Dresden had already been shut down. All4Sports aims to expand in Europe through the acquisition of 21run. According to the Dutch online retailer, All4Running is the biggest premium store for running in the Netherlands and Belgium. As well as the online store, All4Running also has three physical stores in the Netherlands. The company plans to set up a new distribution center, on 12,000 square meters, in Alkmaar in the Netherlands. According to German press reports, 21run produced about a quarter of the group's revenues of €100 million in 2018.
