Andalusian distributor, VC Sport, is to be the new distribution partner of technical basketball shoes from Chinese-based sporting brand 361 Degrees, according to CMD Sport. This is in addition to the brand’s technical shoes, which VC Sport has been distributing since 2017.
Owner and head of the company, Roberto Canalesis quoted as saying the increased offerings will take place, “without mixing the distribution networks.”
As CMD further reports, currently, VC Sport has a distribution network of around thirty specialized stores for 361 Degree running models. In July, 361 Degree basketball shoes will launch in 10 points of sale throughout Spain.
Quoting Canalesis again: “We have very well segmented technical running, which is only available in specialist stores, and technical basketball will only be in specialist basketball stores.”
The objective of the distribution partnership in 2023 is to increase sales share in the network of specialist running stores and establish itself in basketball, before opening space in general stores for cheaper models of running, basketball and lifestyle.
VC Sport (formerly Sigma Sport Spain) was previously in charge of distributing Brooks Running from 2002–2015, until Brooks created its own subsidiary.
