361 Degrees International has signed a sponsorship agreement with the Rio 2016 Organizing Committee to be an official supporter for the 2016 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games. Under the terms of the agreement, the Chinese sports brand will supply apparel, footwear, and accessories to torchbearers, volunteers, technical and other officials. The company has also been granted certain marketing rights. Prior to Rio, 361 Degrees was an official sponsor of the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhouin 2010, the Shenzhen Summer Universiade in 2011, the 2nd Youth Olympic Summer Games in Nanjing in 2014, and the 17th Asian Games in Incheon in 2014. Sponsorship of the 2016 Rio Games forms part of a broader promotional campaign for the brand as it expands into Latin America and the U.S. In Brazil, the brand has set up headquarters in Novo Hamburgo and a product showroom in São Paulo. It has eight representative offices across the country. In addition, the company recently incorporated a U.S. subsidiary in Irvine, California, and recruited industry veterans to spearhead the overseas expansion of the 361 Degrees brand.
