A big Austrian sporting goods retailer, Intersport Bründl, has won an international award in Las Vegas as the best “hardline specialty store.” Beating applications from all over the world, its new store in the Tyrolean ski resort of Ischgl got the 2012 A.R.E. Award in this category. The three-storey outlet opened with a surface of 1,400 square meters last November. It is not the first international award won by Bründl. Back in 2010, the Austrian chain received the Euroshop Retail Design Award of the European Retail Institute (EHI) at a ceremony in New York for its flagship store in Kaprun.
