A Dutch research institute that has been involved in sports-related research for two years, TNO, is spearheading the first European Conference on Sports and Innovation in Eindhoven next March 12-14 as part of Innosport, a new project intended to stimulate cooperation among sporting goods companies, technological centers and research institutes from various European countries. Many have already agreed to cooperate in this project, which is partly funded by the European Commission. A strategic committee headed up by Alberto Bichi, secretary general of the European Sporting Goods Industry Federation (FESI), is going to debate details of this project at a meeting in Munich during the next ISPO fair (more on www.innosport.eu).
