A jury organized by the Sports Unlimited fair in Valencia has awarded its annual SU+ prizes to Benito Garcia, Nike, Polar, Runnering.com and Unipreus. Garcia owns the Spanish Benitosports chain of sporting goods stores, which is one of the pillars of the Detallsport buying group. Unipreus is another major Spanish sports retailer. Runnering organizes the participation of Spanish runners in various marathons in Europe and the U.S. Reed Exhibitions, organizer of the fair, gave an extraordinary SU+ prize to Manuel Freixas, who has been publishing the Spanish Diffusion Sport magazines for 30 years. Three of his former editors are currently running three other trade magazines in Spain. One of them, Jaume Ferrer, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of his Sport Panel, which also publishes Tradesport.
