A recent survey has shown that Swedish e-retailers have been suffering increased competition from foreign e-retailers. In the past, the competition was coming largely from the U.S., the U.K. and Germany, but the biggest increase has come from China. The survey found that one out of four Swedes made an online purchase from a foreign e-store last June and that the most common purchases were shoes, clothing and electronics. Customers said that they chose foreign e-retailers for three reasons: lower prices, products not available in Sweden and a wider selection.
