A veteran of the international sporting goods industry, Alistair Thorburn, has been appointed managing director of international operations for Confluence Outdoor. He acted most recently as international president of Pure Fishing, the fishing tackle subsidiary of Jarden Corp., where he coordinated 19 different subsidiaries. His career includes leading positions at Prince Sports, Converse, Wilson Sporting Goods and Dunlop Sports. Based in the U.S., Confluence has made no secret of its intention to expand internationally since its acquisition by J.H. Whitney last year.
