A well-known Cuban-American designer of shoes and accessories, Alejandro Ingelmo, has been picked by Dwyane Wade, the NBA All-Star champion, as creative consultant for Li-Ning's new Wade line of athletic and lifestyle footwear and apparel. Wade is reported to be one of the celebrities who have been shopping at the designer's boutique in the SoHo area of Manhattan. Commonly known as AI, the designer will sign a special cult-type sneaker for Li Ning's Wade line, which will be presented at the Fashion Week in New York next February, before its retail launch in the spring.
