Accell Group has announced the appointment of Ton Anbeek as its new chief executive officer and chairman of the board of directors, effective Nov. 1. Anbeek is currently the CEO of Beter Bed Holding. A pan-European group of companies operating in the area of beds and mattresses at wholeslae and retail. His professional career started in 1987 at Unilever, where he held various positions in marketing and sales at different operating companies of the group, both in the Netherlands and abroad, including global marketing director for all Unilever fabric softener brands and managing director of Unilever Maghreb. In 2007, he joined Koninklijke Auping as the Dutch bedding company's director general. In early 2010, he was appointed chief executive of Beter Bed Holding. Following his recent appointment, Accell's board will have four members: Ton Anbeek as chief executive; Hielke Sybesma, chief financial officer; Jeroen Snijders Blok, chief operating officer; and Jeroen Both, chief supply chain officer.
