Accell Group is buying all the shares in Bäumker & Company, which supplies bicycles and bike parts to retailers. Bäumker has a close network of dealers in its home market, particularly in the northern and central regions of the country, and Accell’s Batavus brand of bikes is among the products it distributes. Bäumker will be consolidated into Accell’s operations as of this month. Its management will remain in place. The company has about 35 employees, and in 2008 it reported sales of about €10 million with a small profit. Accell had revenues of €538.0 million that year, with a €28.6 million profit.
