According to local reports, Mike Weccardt has left as chief executive of Sport Eybl, the leading Austrian sporting goods retail chain recently acquired by Sports Direct International. His position is said to have been transferred to Thomas Bittermann, an attorney who was involved in the takeover proceedings. Other top managers in the areas of purchasing and sales have apparently left the company as well.
