In collaboration with Mix Innovations, Addmaster has developed a way for thirsty runners, hikers and cyclists to choose water or a sports drink as they like, without any residue tainting the water. The M:X Dual Hydration System is a “small device,” with a drink switch, that “attaches to the shoulder strap of a rucksack and works by mixing a sports drink concentrate with water to the correct dilution.” The plastic that touches the fluids is coated with Biomaster antimicrobial treatment, which will purportedly function “for the lifetime of the product.” The system adapts to “most reservoirs on the market,” among them by M:X, which also sells vegan, gluten-free sports drinks. The M:X was designed and is manufactured in Scotland. Addmaster is a wholly owned subsidiary of Polygiene.
