Adidas has appointed Jonathan Gregory as its director for the next football World Cup, scheduled to take place in Russia in 2018. Adidas is a top-tier Fifa sponsor and the Russian football team's official supplier of sporting gear. Gregory is tasked with maximizing the brand's presence in the host country. He worked at both Coca Cola and PepsiCo/Walkers, before entering the world of sport with Puma and went on to become the commercial director at Wembley Stadium. Subsequently, he was the director of partnerships for England in its unsuccessful bid to host the 2018 World Cup. Most recently, Gregory served as the commercial director of the Fulham Football Club.
