Adidas has hired Dan Near as its new head of Adidas Hockey for Adidas Group North America. He will report to Michael Rossi, general manager of Adidas Group Canada. Near joins from the National Hockey League (NHL), where he has worked for ten years. In addition to his background and existing relationships at the NHL and across the hockey industry, Near brings experience from other industries. Prior to the NHL, he worked at P&G and NBC Sports. Also, Adidas has promoted Keith Leach to senior director, NHL. Leach will lead all NHL-related licensed product initiatives for the Sport Licenced Division (SLD) of The Adidas Group across North America. He will report directly to Steve Gallo, general manager of the division.
