Adidas has unveiled a new app that is meant to deliver a personalized shopping experience. The Adidas Sports & Style app uses Salesforce technology including Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud. The app gets to know the consumer's preferences, and proposes personalized news stories, blog posts, articles, videos and events announcements. It also takes into account preferred colors and sizes while showing the availability of products based on the country location. Users can complete their purchase directly in the app using a tap to buy through Android Pay and Apple Pay, then track their order and chat with the customer service. The app is currently available for download in the U.K. and U.S. through Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store. Adidas plans to expand availability in more countries through the first half of 2018. The launch of the new app is part of Adidas' efforts to accelerate digital transformation across its entire organization within its 2020 strategy “Creating the New.” The app was unveiled at the latest edition of the Dreamforce software conference, Saleforce's annual learning event, which was held in San Francisco on Nov. 6-9.
