German law enforcement officials raided Adidas headquarters in Herzogenaurach on Thursday, Dec. 11, as part of a years-long tax investigation.

A company spokesperson has confirmed to Bloomberg that the company has been cooperating with customs authorities for several years and is providing them with the requested documents and information to further the investigation.

The raid was first reported by Germany’s Manager Magazin.

According to CNBC, the tax investigation covers the period from October 2019 to August 2024 and is related to Adidas’ compliance with customs and tax regulations for the import of products into Germany.

Adidas has assured stakeholders that it has been compiling and cooperating with the authorities over an extended period, providing them with the documentation and relevant information required for the investigation.
