Adidas signed up the first pro endorser for its Stella McCartney label. It’s Maria Kirilenko, a Russian tennis player who is ranked 25th on the WTA Tour. She can already be seen wearing the line of tennis gear at the Australian Open, includingthe Bashasha, a light-weight shoe that symbolizes the Adidas feather. The Adidas by Stella McCartney tennis line will be available for retail globally on March 17 in high-end department stores, Stella McCartney stores and Adidas Sport Performance locations, carrying a price range of $25-300. In loosely related news, the Adidas/Reebok merger has claimed its first victim.
