After five years in the position, Laurent Potdevin, chief executive of Burton Snowboards, has left the company to pursue other interests. He had been with the company since 1995. He will remain tied to Burton as a consultant and adviser. Jake Burton Carpenter, the 56-year-old founder and chairman of the company that carries his name, will return to his former CEO title and responsibilities on an interim basis while the company searches for a replacement. Potdevin started at Burton in an operations role, then was named president in 2002 and CEO in 2005.
