After Max Niederreiter's switch to Peak Performance, Billabong Germany will rely on a tandem of two managers to steer the German operations. Unlike Niederreiter, who served as sales director for the German-speaking countries, the Benelux countries and the Czech Republic, the new managers in place will handle only the German market: Michael Kahl has been in charge of marketing and PR of Billabong Germany since 2006 and will now take the position of head of sales and marketing. Georg Köpf has served Billabong since 2008 in various positions including key account manager for the Element brand and later on for the Billabong core brand. He will oversee the business development of the board sports company.
