Rugby brand Canterbury has launched the lightest and most advanced rugby boot the brand has ever made. The Speed Infinite Elite boot weighs just 217 grams (about the same as an iPhone); a 28 percent reduction in weight compared with the previous generation, achieved using AI-powered design.
The Speed Infinite Elite was covertly tested on the pitch during the 2022/23 season, including by Ireland wing Mack Hansen, who wore the boot during his side’s Grand Slam winning Six Nations 2023 campaign.
The tight-fit was inspired by football boots many rugby players are currently wearing, reworked to meet the specific needs of a rugby player, including stability.
Canterbury is part of the Pentland Brands Group.
