Aigle has appointed Romain Guinier to become its managing director from the end of February, following the departure of a company veteran, Frédéric Chaigneau, who has acted lately as deputy managing director in charge of marketing and communication. Guinier will start by leading marketing and communication before becoming responsible for all general management functions under Yves Mouriès, Aigle’s chief executive. Guinier will also be responsible for modernizing the brand, expanding its export business and generally speeding up the brand’s strategic development, which the company launched after being bought by Maus, the Swiss group that also owns Lacoste and Gant. Guinier, 43, joins Aigle after working in the luxury goods industry for LVMH, where he was the deputy managing director for Europe at Louis Vuitton.
