Aku, Asolo, Garmont and Viking have adopted W.L. Gore's new Surround waterproof/breathable technology for the first time, incorporating it into their spring/summer 2016 lines. They are joining 25 other international sports and outdoor brands that have already started using Gore-Tex Surround, excluding some Asian brands. Furthermore, Meindl has come out with the first outdoor shoe fitted featuring a knitted upper with Gore-Tex Surround.
