Alberto Landi, the marketing and communications director of Lotto Sport Italia, has died suddenly of an incurable illness. He was only 36 years old. After working in the sports division of Safilo, he joined Lotto in 1999 as the area manager for the Italian market. Two years later he was placed in charge of the company’s strategic planning office and assumed responsibility for the development of non-core products. He was appointed as the company’s marketing and communications director at the end of 2004. Landi was actively involved in the company’s acquisition of Etonic and the launch of the Lotto Works project, among others.
