Alpina is introducing ski goggles with QHM technology, designed to optimize visibility in all kinds of weather thanks to greater contrast enhancement. “QHM” stands for “Quattroflex Hicon Mirror.” The outer lens is equipped with Quattroflex, a reduced polarizing filter in Ruby Red that is said to almost completely eliminate stray light and minimize reflections while also providing additional contrast optimization. The orange Hicon filter in the inner lens increases visual comfort for the eyes and enhances contrast. The combination of Ruby Red outer lens and orange Hicon inner lens is designed to offer the best contrast enhancement. Good contrast is essential when skiing because it allows the skier to detect the contours of the ski area and the ski slope much better, and therefore to react faster. Alpina will be presenting its lenses with the QHM technology at Ispo Munich 2019.
