Amer Sports has appointed Bruno Rüdisüli as new country manager of Salomon Switzerland by Jan. 1. Rüdisüli has directed Amer Sports’ Swiss subsidiary since its beginnings in 2005 and will continue to do so. The strategy is to have a country manager for all Amer brands (including Atomic, Precor, Suunto, Wilson) in all markets where it makes sense to the Finnish group. Rüdisüli’s predecessor, Andi Balz, will remain with Salomon Switzerland’s team as member of the management. Kai Uellendahl, finance director of Salomon in the country, has been placed in charge of operations for Salomon and all other Amer activities in the country.

Volker Gromer is leaving Sport 2000 Deutschland, where he is quitting his job as marketing director. The 40-year-old will have a similar job from Dec. 1 at Sport 2000’s parent company Ariston-Nord-West-Ring (ANWR), which is also involved in footwear and other sectors. Gromer used to be a journalist with the trade publication Markt Intern working table-to-table with Hans-Hermann Deters, now managing director of the fitness brand Kettler. Gromer will be replaced by Hans Allmendinger, who has been running his own consultancy firm, but had served before for Nike in various positions.
