Amer Sports has sold off the manufacturing site of Salomon that it wasn’t using in Rumilly, France, to the French company Ecologgia. The €8 million transaction means a capital gain of €7.4 million, and includes 15 hectares of land and 35,000 square meters of buildings. Amer used the campus to produce skis, bindings and cycling components until the end of 2008, when it was closed in an attempt to improve efficiencies in the winter sports equipment division. Ecologgia is planning to build an industrial center specializing in wood technology.
