Anders Jönsson is leaving as chief executive of Puma Nordic after 30 years in various positions within the company, according to Sportfack. He is being succeeded by Miroslav Ryba, who most recently led Puma's business in Russia, Ukraine and Turkey. The information has recently been circulated internally at Puma by Arne Freundt, general manager for the EMEA region. Miroslav “Mirek” Ryba started working at Puma in 2001 in the role of CEO for the Czech Republic, a country that was previously handled by a distributor. Freundt credited him with a six-fold increase in Puma's sales in Russia and for profitable growth in that country as well as the Ukraine and Turkey.
