Anima Athletica, the French activewear brand founded by Alexia Romanet in 2012, is off to a fresh start. After going into receivership, then into liquidation in October 2017, the company is now being relaunched by Emmanuel Vial. As reported in the French edition of Fashionnetwork.com, the new Anima Athletica will be a premium brand, with prices ranging between €60 and €120, and will target women between 35 to 45 years of age. More importantly, it will sell its products only on the internet, at least at the initial stage, although pop-up stores and events around physical activity are also envisaged. Vial is planning to launch nearly 80 items per year, both for low-intensity sports, like yoga or Pilates, and high-intensity activities like running or Crossfit. The items will be manufactured in Portugal. For the time being, the percentage of recycled materials used to make the brand's products is up to 20 percent, but Vial said that he would like Anima Athletica products to be more eco-friendly in the future. The brand was officially relaunched on May 22, and the old clients were given a special code to have exclusive access to the new collection ahead of the other shoppers.
