Another former Puma executive has moved into the eyewear business. Jörg Zobel, 43, has become the new chief executive of Eschenbach Optik, the largest eyewear producer in Germany and a major global supplier of low-vision equipment, taking the place of Wolfgang Rebstock, who has retired. Zobel joined Puma in 2003 and worked there for three years on strategic planning and licensing before acting as general manager for Asia-Pacific, based in Hong Kong, until 2012. Earlier this year, Franz Koch, the former CEO of Puma, became managing partner of another German eyewear company, Mykita, which is now moving strongly into customized glasses.
