Anta has sent money and materials worth $800,000 to communities in China's Ludian County, Yunnan province, after the area was hit by an earthquake on Aug. 3. The earthquake, which had a magnitude of 6.1, resulted in the deaths of more than 600 people. The Chinese sports footwear group said it wanted to help people in the area rebuild their homes and restore “normal life” as soon as possible. An estimated 80,000 houses were reportedly destroyed and 124,000 seriously damaged.
