Anta Sports announced that to achieve “a greater balance of gender diversity and expertise” among board committee members and to also align the group’s management structure with its strategic direction, changes are being made to the composition of its remuneration, nomination, risk management and sustainability committees.
As a first change, Ding Shizhong, Chairman and Executive Director, will no longer be a member of the remuneration committee. Two independent non-executive directors, Wang Jiaqian and Xia Lian, will be appointed as nomination committee members. Lai Shixian, an executive director and one of the co-CEOs, will step down from the risk management committee, while Bi Mingwei, an executive director and the CFO, will be appointed as a member. Finally, Zheng Jie, an executive director, is replaced as a member of the sustainability committee by Tsui Yeung, the CEO of the group’s Performance Sports Group.
Side note: Except Jiaqian and Lian, the two new independent non-executive directors in Anta’s nomination committee, all the above executives are still male.
