Arc'teryx Equipment has released a voluntary product recall of all 2016 Procline boots, both men's and women's, in cooperation with Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. These products present a possible safety hazard with the axis pin, which keeps the spoiler and the rotating cuff in place. In a very small number of the boots, the axis pin has dislodged during use. According to the release, no injuries have been reported but the company has nevertheless decided to issue a voluntary recall to repair the pin and ensure the boot functions as designed. The recall concerns all six models of the 2016 Procline boots manufactured between Nov. 1, 2015 and March 31, 2017. Arc'teryx is requesting that customers stop use any of these products immediately, and send the boots in question back to be repaired via the procedure described at recall.arcteryx.com. The company says it will repair and return the boots to the customer. Shipping is free of charge.
