As it continues to expand beyond footwear, Vans has appointed Vicki Redding as vice president of apparel, to start later this month. She will be in charge of global apparel product design, development and merchandising across all distribution channels. Redding previously spent 16 years at the Quiksilver group and her latest job was senior vice president of merchandising and design at La Jolla Group, which works with brands including O'Neill and Rusty. Vans, which is owned by VF Corp, has been putting strong emphasis on the development of apparel to diversify its sales in the last years.
