As it has already done with its line of sports shoes, Head is going to take its European apparel license in-house starting with the spring/summer 2011 collection, which will be presented to the trade in May. It will not renew its license with a German firm, Jebsen & Jessen, after it expires at the end of this year. Focusing on badminton, tennis and ski clothing, this unit will be run by Georg Kroll, who remains in charge of Head’s licensing activities. Michael Bogner, brand manager of Head Sportswear, remains involved as the person responsible for brand management, product development and sourcing. The subsidiaries of Head in all the European countries will take on the distribution of the line.
