As odd as this may sound, Rip Curl has partnered with The Woolmark Company to produce a selection of wool garments for Mick Fanning, the former Australian surfing champion. The collection includes a Woolmark-certified merino wool poncho, designed to be worn as an overgarment, providing warmth and insulation before and after wearing a wetsuit. Fanning wore the garments for the first time at an ASP event at Bells Beach in the Australian state of Victoria over the Easter weekend.
