As the distributorship of Wilson products on the Norwegian market is handed over to Amer Sports at the start of 2009, Torinor Sport, its former distributor, is looking to fill a gaping hole in its business. In 2008, sales of Wilson-related products generated 15 million Norwegian kronor (€1.64m-$2.17m) for the company, over half of the 23 million NOK (€2.52m-$3.33m) in global turnover. Torinor Sport, which also distributes Stiga, Uhlsport and Kempa in Norway, is preparing to make deals with Wilson’s competitors in the segment, namely Babolat, Spalding and Kaper.
