Asics is gearing up to host a one-of-a-kind Festival of Running weekend in Paris from April 5 to 7, 2024, dedicated to showcasing the transformative power of running on the mind and body.

The festivities kick off on April 5 with an elite race sanctioned by World Athletics, featuring top athletes like Mekdes Woldu, Adel Mechaal, and Nadia Battocletti competing in either a 5k or 10k race at Palais Royal. Spectators can witness the action firsthand along the scenic 2.5km course or tune in via a live stream on the Asics webpage.

The following day, April 6, Asics will co-host the Paris Run For All, a 5km marathon shake-out run starting from Palais Royal and culminating at École Militaire. Additionally, mini marathon events for children will provide an opportunity for all ages to experience the joy of movement.

“To ignite the city of Paris”

Finally, on April 7, more than 50,000 runners will hit the streets for the Schneider Electric Paris Marathon, inspiring spectators at every turn. The Asics Cheer Zone at Place du Trocadéro (kilometer 39) will be a hub of energy, featuring live music and hospitality to cheer on the participants.

Gary Raucher, EVP of Asics EMEA, expressed excitement about the event, stating, “We’re thrilled to host the Festival of Running in Paris to showcase the positive impact of sports on both physical and mental wellbeing. This festival is open to all who want to experience the joy of movement with Asics, uniting runners of all levels to ignite the city of Paris.”

Pierre Rabadan, Deputy Mayor of Paris, echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the initiative’s importance in promoting the physical and mental benefits of sports to Parisians.
