Asics Corp. has been picked for the second time as a component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia/Pacific Index. The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) relate to socially responsible investment and they are jointly determined by S&P Dow Jones and RobecoSAM, an investment firm based in Switzerland. They evaluate the sustainability of business practices based on economic, environmental and social criteria, and only firms rated as leading in their industries become component companies. Asics has adopted a 2020 Sustainability Strategy, which supports the Asics Growth Plan 2020. The group is among 68 Japanese companies that are part of the 146 firms in the DJSI Asia/Pacific Index. Asics is also a component company of the FTSE4Good Global Index and the MSCI Global Sustainability Indices.
