Asics has signed up David Goffin and Julia Goerges as global tennis ambassadors. Goffin, from Belgium, occupied the 16th place in the Association of Tennis Professionals' (ATP) world ranking in 2015, becoming the highest ranked Belgian tennis player in history. Goerges, from Germany, is ranked No. 50 in the world by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). In 2015, she reached the 4th round of both Roland Garros and the Australian Open. The two players will represent Asics on and off the court. Upon the terms of the agreement, each player will wear Asics' latest performance tennis footwear, apparel and accessories in competition and training. They will also represent the brand across other performance categories such as the Training range, which Asics has recently launched, as well as its lifestyle brands, Asics Tiger and Onitsuka Tiger. Asics' roster of global tennis ambassadors already includes Gaël Monfils, Samantha Stosur and Johanna Konta, among others. In 2015, Asics saw its tennis sales grow by 41 percent for apparel and 16 percent for footwear.
