Asics launched on Nov. 18 a limited edition of 60,000 pairs of Metarun shoes. Described as the best long-distance running shoe in the company's history, the Metarun features five new technologies covered by four patents. A new FlyteFoam midsole uses organic fibers for cushioning. The shoe incorporates a new carbon-reinforced adaptive stability system. Among other features, the optimized upper has built-in memory foam.
