Asics' Austrian subsidiary has revamped its organization to strengthen its market position in the country and to work more effectively with its retail customers. Lorenz Staudinger, who worked in both sales and purchasing of local sporting goods retailers, will be in charge of the key accounts ? Sport Eybl & Sports Experts, Sport 2000 and Intersport ? in the performance category. Andreas Höller, who has already been with Asics Austria for a while, will take care of other key customers such as Hervis, Gigasport and specialty running retailing. All lifestyle-oriented products for the Austrian market will be bundled under the Onitsuka Tiger brand. Responsible for this new division is Jürgen Gschwind, who has been working in the fashion sector for 12 years. Gschwind will be in charge of shoe and fashionable sporting goods retail customers. He takes over responsibilities from Robert Barbato, who has left the company and who used to be sales manager for Asics' lifestyle category in Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
