Babolat has launched its first badminton shoe. Called Shadow, it has been developed together with Michelin like its tennis shoes. It is said to be lighter and less expensive than a competing model by Yonex. The French brand is also putting out a new oversize tennis racquet, called Y, that is said to combine power and accuracy. Badminton equipment contributes only about 5 percent of Babolat’s sales and is mostly sold in France and Japan.
