Berghaus has signed a license and distribution agreement with E-Land, a top Korean retailer with more than 4,000 stores. E-Land will be the exclusive distributor of the Berghaus brand in Korea, where the British brand has 30 stand-alone stores and sells to multi-brand retailers. The 5-year agreement, with a possible additional 5-year extension, takes effect on Jan. 1, 2008. Also this month, as previously reported, Berghaus entered the Japanese market and opened its first stand-alone store in the UK.
