Berghaus has won the prestigious Queen’s Award for Innovation. Granted last Apr. 21 on the Queen’s 80th birthday, the prize was awarded on the strength of recent product introductions by the British company, owned by Pentland Group, which was founded in the Northeast of England more than 40 years ago. The products include Berghaus’ Extrem Light range of lightweight clothing, footwear and rucksacks, its ergonomic Bioflex Back System and its Adventure Travel range, which is made of fabrics that protect from ultraviolet radiation, from mosquitos and from bacteria.
