BESPO will no longer exist as a full-fledged exhibition of summer products in Bern for the Swiss sporting goods market. In view of a steady decline in the number of exhibitors, the Swiss distributors’ and retailers’ associations, SPAF and ASMAS, have decided to replace the fair with simpler “order days” in the permanent showrooms of the TMC center in Zurich and in the city’s Stadthof. The first event of the kind will take place next Aug. 20-23. The Swisspo fair will continue as a more marketing-oriented event in Zurich on Feb. 26-28. Some of the companies that have showrooms in the TMC plan to organize more specific TMC Sport order days during the week of Feb. 20 and the week of Aug. 8.
